Description
SULFIREDOX
2.5% aqueous solution of copper sulphate (CuSO4-5H2O).
Eliminates the reducing effect in finished wines.
Properties: elimination of reduced character on finished wines.
Usual dosage: 2 mL/hL to 10 mL/hL (10 mL/hL releases 0.64 mg/L copper).
Use SULFIREDOX only under the supervision of an oenologist.
EU REGULATIONS:
The maximum permissible dose in the EU is 4 cL/hL = 40 mL/hL.
The maximum permissible copper content in wine after treatment is 1 mg/L.
